There's loads of these types of lists to be found on the internet today, but thought I'd write my own -What I believe are 8 important notes to remember if you have a friend or family member suffering with a chronic illness -These vastly range from MS to Crohn's and everything in between (literally too many to mention. Both visible and 'invisible' illnesses)...
1. Not being a doctor is ok. Not being able to pronounce the condition your friend has is also ok. Not knowing anything about it, is not ok.
Your friend or family member won't expect you to write a thesis on the subject, and you probably stumble over the letters trying to pronounce their illness and any medications they take for it. But if you are constantly asking what the issue is, and can't use Google, then just don't speak at all. Even those who are open and honest about their illness will get fed up hearing themselves say the same things -Ask once, ask new questions, and for the love of your friend's sanity, use Google.
Some won't want to discuss it -they may find it upsetting, they may partly be in denial. In this instance -Google, Google, Google! They might change their mind in the future so take an interest. Please use reputable sites though such as the Mayo Clinic.
It might be a big part of your friends life and who they are as a person. If you

100 days of happiness... A recent round-up
Yop -My name is CrippleBaby, and I have an issue with lack of blogging *sits down and waits for applause*... So rather than go through the last 10 or so days individually, I'm just going to do one big ol' post for the '100 days of happiness' days which I missed -which was many, many days. So here's the round up, and in no particular order, as I'm too lazy to do so, quite frankly:

I look like a potato -A kawaii potato
I found this picture on the internet a while ago, and honestly, laughed
for ages… this is very much me at the moment, BAHAHAHAHAHAAA! :)
If you know me/ friends with me on Facebook, then you've
probably already seen this video of me shaving my hair. I posted it mainly for
friends –to see that I'm not deeply traumatised by losing me hair! It’s a weird
thing, cancer and hair lose… effects people in such strange ways. I don’t
mean the person actually going through it, I mean for the friends and families.
I was only ever hesitant about shaving my hair off because

Non-mom hair
Sooo yeah, when I get bored, I get addicted to dumb things. Like cutting my hair. So this happened...

I shaved the side (which I had previously done but it needed re-doing), also took more hair off that side and the back, and generally cut the hell out of it again. Feck you, Jennifer Aniston, I have escaped the 90's layered 'feathering'! ...way trendier. Or it would be, if I didn't wear bow hair-bands, and generally look about 17.
During the photo taking (again, sorry about shit computer camera quality!) a little messing began, courtesy of Simon and the dogs...

In the third photo there, Simon is trying to give me some of his long, curly locks, har! That's a blurry Emily in the forth picture, and Louis in the fifth -My little family! :)

The adventures of Chemo Doll!
Another quickie just to show off the 'Chemo Doll' my friend Jeni knitted for me for Christmas. Wearing a lovely rainbow dress and purple hat, Chemo Doll is as bald as I'll probably end up, and accompanied me to my last session as my new mascot.
(Excuse the photo quality... and my creepy face -selfies are not a talent of mine)
...So now this wee one needs a name. Gerry (My friend, Jeni's boyfriend and general all-round rapscallion) suggested 'Chemo Sabe' (as in Kemo Sabe). Can you think of better?? Comment below!

Radioactive Kitty
Just a quick post to show a funny picture that my mate Tasha edited.
Back story to it: When I was going for my first PET, myself and friends found it quite amusing that I would be technically radioactive for 6 hours after it because of the dye they inject into you -was as bit scary getting it done; scarier than my first chemo session, actually. Everyone kept asking me, the nurses included, if I was nervous when I went to the first chemotherapy appointment. Wasn't at all... why would I be? It's to KILL the cancer! -I was simply excited! :)
Aaaanyways, back to the PET: I was even advised to not be around kids and pregnant women for the few hours after it. In her usual humorous spirit, Tasha did this and posted it on Facebook, and I looove it! (as you can imagine, Simon was less impressed with the photo of him that she choose for it, hahaha!). Oh and if you like it too, have a looky at Tasha's Facebook page, Tasha's Paintings, and give her a 'like':
